Draeven Kjarlund vit le jour durant l'union des cités noviennes pour vaincre le démon Dornskir Baal'Zherak. Fils d’un mage de guerre et d’une forgeronne de runes, Draeven était destiné à suivre la voie de l’invocation — mais à six ans, il vit son frère aîné se faire déchiqueter par un dévoreur, une créature ténébreuse.Draeven Kjarlund was born during the union of the Novian cities to defeat the demon Dornskir Baal’Zherak. During this period, the alchemists of Morngard pushed their arts beyond all control. The son of a war mage and a rune smith, Draeven was destined to follow the path of summoning, but at six he saw his elder brother torn apart by a Devourer, a creature of darkness.
Ce traumatisme ne le brisa pas : il le façonna. Dès l’adolescence, Draeven refusa toute magie d’appel. À la place, il développa une maîtrise physique du Bris-Rune, un art martial ancien mêlant rituels runiques et frappes destructrices ciblant les nexus des invocations. Il forgea son propre marteau rituel, l’Essence-Cendre, capable de dissiper l’ancrage entre les mondes.This trauma did not break him: it shaped him. From adolescence, Draeven rejected all summoning magic. Instead, he mastered Bris-Rune, an ancient martial art combining runic rituals with destructive strikes aimed at the nexuses of summoned beings. He forged his own ritual hammer, Essence-Cendre, capable of severing the anchor between worlds.

Atanael fit appel à lui lors des campagnes contre les démons du Drekk Argonak d'Yrnmaul. Le surnom de “Briseur d’Âmes” lui fut donné par les prêtres eux-mêmes.Atanael called upon him during the campaigns against the demons of the Drekk Argonak of Yrnmaul. The priests themselves gave him the name “Soul Breaker”.
Aujourd'hui, Draeven parcourt les terres, traquant tout ce qui tente de franchir la barrière entre les mondes. Il reste dans l'ombre, fidèle à son serment : empêcher les forces des ténèbres de prendre pied sur WARYAUME.Today, Draeven roams the lands, hunting anything that seeks to cross the barrier between worlds. He remains in the shadows, faithful to his oath: to prevent the forces of darkness from gaining a foothold in WARYAUME.
